Het stressgevoel ontstaat wanneer het lichaam te veel spanning ervaart. Dit gevoel wordt onder andere veroorzaakt door twee hormonen: cortisol en adrenaline. Het hormoon cortisol heeft verschillende functies in ons lichaam en het kan een indicator zijn voor stress. Maar hoe? Het hormoon cortisol maakt samen met adrenaline het <\/span><span>lichaam alert voor allerlei gevaren. Denk hierbij aan het overspannen raken of zelfs in een burn-out belanden. Dit zijn allemaal dingen die je natuurlijk niet wilt hebben. Het voorkomen van te veel stress kan op verschillende manieren. Je krijgt dan ook meer en sneller energie van het sporten, dit komt doordat je je uithoudingsvermogen en lenigheid verbeterd.
